Comments: Here's some "inside" photos of one of the early 80's "A" cars being built.  The car was owned by Barry Schenck, and I'm proud to say that I was able to be a part of "Big B's" team in the mid to early 90's.  Barry was a great guy, and knew just about everyone.  You never knew who was going to stop by the trailer during the night when you were working on the A car....

He was known for having great looking equipment, and always went "First Class".

11.23.09 Dom Ragno This was the first Burnett car Barry bought.  The year is 1980.  The body was a mustang and that was the year I became his partner.   All the "A" cars from 1980 -the end of 83 had my motors in them.  They were JJ Balancers built by John Bollander.   This is the car Newt won his first and only modified feature.
11.23.09 3-Wide Dom - Is this the same car that Hager won his "A" car feature in?
11.23.09 John Mc These pictures were shot outside of car builder John Burnett's house & shop in Belle Mead, NJ....I'd recognize that lawn jockey anywhere!
11.24.09 Dom Ragno Joe - yes this is the same car Hagar drove.  We had to move the rear roll cage bar back about 12 inches.  Out of all the drivers we had in this car he made that car talk . I have some pictures of the Mustang body when we finished it.

Beautiful , is that the same car I saw last summer at Volusia county running with a Daytona Nostalgia group?

08.18.12 3-Wide The car you saw was probably more like this one:
