Another Box Camera Beauty!

Here is another of my own box camera photos taken from the back of the pick-up at Alcyon Speedway, Pitman, N. J. This was taken during the 3rd heat, of the Labor Day show held on September 7, 1959.

Jack Bergstresser in the beautiful white 77 sedan won the heat, Budd Olsen in the black 98 was 3rd, Al Tasnady in the red 44 was 4th and Bob Rossell in his red 4 coupe, 5th.

The 40 Lap feature top 10 were: 1st, Al Tasnady #44, 2nd Glenn Guthrie #118, 3rd Ed Lindsay #141, 4th PeeWee Pobletts #46, 5th Will Cagle #2, 6th Vince Conrad # 57, 7th Pete Kantorsky #23, 8th Bob Becker #07, 9th Bob (Phil) Gemenden # 404, 10th Eddie Anders # 77a.

Like my other box camera photos, it’s not the sharpest, but the memories, whether a little distorted or not, are clear in my mind!
