| Comments: | This photo was taken during Alcyon Speedways Fifth Annual Eagles Show. Pictured looking on , from left to right: (Back) Bill Barnes, (Back) Dick Bielski, (Coach) Jerry Williams, (Former end) Norman "Wild Man" Wiley, as end Tom Scott presents Bill Wark with his Trenton Speedway trophy. Bill's feature finish driving the Raymer 10a, earned him a starting spot in the Trenton 100 miler for sportsman and modifieds on July 27, 1958. Alcyon Speedway with its "Who's Who" in Modified-Sportsman racing on a Friday night also printed a trend setting weekly program booklet. Eagle's Night was followed up the next week with a story accompanied by several photos. The information I provided here was taken from a program booklet. How many speedways use promotions like Eagles Night or similar promotions today? |
