Comments: Comment:  Looking as relaxed as can be, that's the all time favorite Al Tasnady, taking a seat on the nerf bar of what we think was the last car that Al raced.  If we've got it figured out correctly (comments and/or corrections welcome!) Al briefly ran this car as a green #24, and at some point, the car was repainted white with the new #39, painted similarly to the the way it appeared in the glory days when Al was behind the wheel of the Piscopo #39. 

It may have been a nice way of remembering the winning years of the previous decade, but even with the familiar color and #, the results were not there and Al would soon choose to retire from the sport as a driver, and keeping his to his word, would never returned behind the wheel. 

So much accomplished...  So many fans....  Although in a different capacity that that as a driver, many of us were happy to see Al stay involved in the sport as a very respected Flemington official....   How many folks became lifetime fans of the sport because of this one man....  Probably quite a few of you reading this, and many who have come before....
