| 04/27/04 | Bill Hanna | This is indeed the car that carried Billy Osmun to his only Super DIRT Week triumph but it was in 1974 not 1975. Those who were there will remember that Merv Treichler and Toby Tobias were closing quickly on Osmun, but those infamous Rain clouds appeared over turn three late in the going and the caution was thrown with Billy O in the lead. As they threw the checkered on him, the clouds opened heavily and I ran back to the camping compound as a 15 year-old youth. Toby would come back in 1975 with the same car and claim his only "Schaefer 100" victory. Bill Hanna Easton PA |
