| Comments: | I remember Joey running around Flemington when we were kids, always wearing a "Stan The Man" shirt! That's why Joe often ran the #27, but this #50, (lettered of course by Joe himself), was a real looker!. |

| 12/26/02 | Todd Lewis | Joe used to run the # 4 a white S&S chassis at East Windsor and the motor was owned by Bob Burket. Joe's cars were kept at Bobs shop in NJ The # 27kc in the pic at NES is a tribute to Stan Ploski who had Bob Burket on his crew for many years. I am not sure but I believe Joe and Stan are cousins. Bob has been a car owner for years fielding Modifieds for Chip Slocum who won 2 EWS titles in Bobs cars, Scott Pursell , Mark Bitner, Don Manning and now Ryan Godown. Bob is a longtime friend of mine and I used to wrench on his cars |
| 03/01/03 | Spilly | I used to help Joe out a little bit back when he was just getting started, I'll say 1978-79 time frame. He was a stock car driver, and he kept the car close to my house....enough reason for me to go introduce myself! One of his first garages was literally a converted chicken coop, on Kingston Lane in South Brunswick, across from the former High School. His first car was the former Glen Reebe #45 Burnett Pinto. I can remember him towing this car to Flemington behind a pretty sharp looking Chevy Chevelle SS. Some of his other efforts included a former Jerry Allen Driven #71, which was a Frank Mangone/Central Jersey Welding built car. He also had a Buckley built car as well. In fact, the Buckley car wound up in my front yard in South Brunswick, in front of a nice sized water fountain, for a photo shoot, complete with a bikini-clad "model". I still have those pictures. One of Joe's buddies at the time was a guy named Jimmy Gano. He was quite a character. Jimmy did most of Joe's body painting, and Joe, of course, did the lettering. |
| 03/10/03 | Todd L | I believe Jim Gano is still hanging around Joe's shop helping out on the 50 (if you check the URC website I believe that Jimmy is sitting on the front tire of the car) |
| 12/17/03 | BOBBY FIORELLO | JOE AND I GO WAY BACK TO THE GENERAL MOTORS DAYS UNTIL HE LEFT AFTER 10 YEARS TO GO ALL OUT ON HIS OWN FULL TIME. I GIVE HIM ALOT OF CREDIT FOR WHAT HE DID. IT TAKES ALOT TO LEAVE AND GO ON YOUR OWN PLUS RACING EVERY WEEKEND. HE CAME A LONG WAY SINCE THEN AND ALWAYS HAS BEAUTIFUL RACERS NO MATTER WHAT HE DRIVES. ALOT OF LAUGHS AT THE TRACK. - MISS YOU GUYS - BOBBY FIORELLO,WAX ON,WAXOFF,, |
