Michels in victory lane at the then asphalt New Egypt Speedway. While finding
victory lane often on the asphalt of New Egypt and Wall, some of us will remember Tom
taking a terrible flip in a yellow #60 coupe the length of the backstretch at East
Windsor. When I mentioned that memorable event to Tom at a Legends of the Fall event
a few years back, Tom rolled up his sleeve and showed the scars from the accident. We were sad to hear of the recent passing of Tom as it seems like it was just a few years back where we read that he substitute drove for his son Dave in the Modified Division at Wall and brought the car home in the top 5. Our condolences to the Michels Family. |
