| Comments: | Comment: Gary Balough in the Hildebrand/Ege "Lilac" #9 at Syracuse. Gary was a winner in the #9. This car would later be purchased by the Ferraiuolo Team painted a different color, and renumbered #73, and Gary would win many more events. Not sure if this was Gary's first year at Syracuse in the photo above, but Gary would have a lot of success with the Ferriauolo cars throughout the 70's at Syracuse and elsewhere, and as most reading this will know, caused the sport to call a "time out: when showing up to Syracuse in 1980 in the Kenny Weld built "Batmobile" while everyone tried to figure out what to do next.... |
