Comment from John: This 1962 shot from Turn #3 at
Flemington has Al Tasnady in the #44, Budd Olsen in the #111, Ed Farley in
the #808, Pat Wohlgumuth Sr. in the #168, and Billy Winters in the white
sedan (the number 26 is not visible). A few pieces of trivia from this
shot: 1) the #26 owned by Jack Kiley in Hampton, NJ is the former Jackie MccLauglin #026 . Part of the phrase "Don't Cuss; Call Us" is visible on the side of the car. 2) Les Farley would begin driving the Walter's #808 the following year. 3) Al Tasnady received a broken nose in this crash according to my notes. |
