| 04/04/04 | Jim Granskie | I was just a kid, but I remember my Dad's good friend Don and his winning smile. Don drove for my Dad (Hank Granskie) on occassion. We still have a few good pictures from the old days with Don as well. Great photos. They really brought back so many memories. Thanks, Jim Granskie. |
| 05/06/04 | Cliff Wright Jr. | Great picture!! Don also drove for my father. The last modified he drove before he went to Daytona. He drove the #24 for Cliff Wright & The Zautner Bros. to place 6th in the points standings to give him a starting spot at Daytona. Thank for great site Cliff Wright Jr. |
| 05/06/04 | 3-Wide | Thanks for adding your comments Cliff. I've been to every Speedweek in Daytona since 1971 and although I hadn't start going to Daytona back in the late 60's yet, we think of Don each year. |
| 01/10/05 | Ed Duncan | The car that Don is in was owned by Andy Anderson an was driven by many drivers such as Gene Bergin, Hop Harrington and the late Dick Dixon. |
| 09/30/07 | Dwight | Don had a great personality. In, I believe 1966, he came to Islip in the Circle J car and won the feature. I bought a picture of that car that night. On my way home I stopped at the racers hangout - the Peter Pan Diner in Bay Shore and there was Don. I had him autograph the back of the photo which I still have to this day. I was in Vietnam when Don was killed at Daytona and I was devastated when I found out. |
