| Comments: | Comments provided by Russ: Pictured in this Joe Clune photo is a field of cars under the red at Alcyon Speedway in 1958. Jimmy Metzler, the"Silver Fox" in the 2A, Carl Van Horn 71E, Bill "PopCorn" Lewis 19, Fred Mears 47 and Bob "Phil" Gemenden checks the left fron tire on the 404. Picture wise, this is neat because it is shot from the infield side of the track. Thanks, Russ Dodge |

| 06/19/03 | Tom Bilger | Not only is that the Bill Lewis "Popcorn Special" on the track, but I also believe that is one of Bill Lewis's popcorn stands in the background behind the people along the fence. |
| 06/20/03 | Jim Murrow | Yes, that is Bill Lewis's popcorn stand in the background. Also, if you look closely, you will see a stuffed fox mounted on the roof of the 2A. Jimmy Metzler was known as "The Old Gray Fox", because of his gray hair. The fox on the roof was his trademark, so to speak. Jim Murrow |
| 07/18/03 | Jas | There is a picture in the 50's section of a driver who drove for my Dad at Alcyon Speedway in the late fifties (Bill "Popcorn" Lewis) and when I have time I can send you a picture of the old Ford they had. |
