| Comments: | More shoe box classics from the 50's. I'm sure some of the visitors can fill in the details for the rest of us youngsters! |

| 02/25/03 | Jim Brewer | This is more than likely Roger Boas of Fairport, NY. He drove this car at Oswego, NY in the late 50's to about 1961 when they converted to supermodifieds. The car was yellow and white. A photo of the car appears on page 47 of the Oswego 50th Anniversary book for those of you who have that. |
| 03/08/03 | Jim Brewer | I did a little more research on Roger Boas and found out that he finished 14th at Langhorne in 1961. Since the pictured car doesn't have a steel roof ('30s coupes had fabric inserts and some tracks called them "flat tops") it may have been run that year. They allowed "Bugs" and "flat tops" to run in 1961 and 62. Is there any way that the picture could have been taken in the 1960s? My bet is that it is 1961. |
