Comments: Comment from David: I remember my Grandfather taking to East Windsor Speedway when he wasn't racing at Wall. I never know who to root for since I was maybe 10 years old. There was only one car I rooted for. The one car was what I called the "turtle car" which of course was someone racing an old modified coupe,

This was in the late 80's early 90's so everyone else ran the more modern dirt modifieds that looked more like billboards, then cars to a kid. Thats who I always rooted for. Once I even saw him win a heat... I think. Usually I was rooting for the car even though it was always last. The fast modern modifieds would scream by and then followed by the put put put of the turtle car. If anyone knows what I'm talking about e-mail me at ddfrady@optonline.net

I drove by to see if it was still there and it was! I attached some recent pictures. I took the pictures in October of 2007.

11/05/07 BOBBY FIORELLO WHY DOES A RACETRACK SUCH AS THIS GOES BY THE WAYSIDE,?,  WHY DO THE OWNERS GIVE UP ? WHY DO THE FAN COUNTS START TO SHRINK ? WHY DO THE DRIVERS SAY THEY CANT AFFORD TO RACE EVERY WEEK ? WHY DID DON JONES PAY HIS DRIVERS THE SO WELL ?,,  ALL OF THIS HAPPENED AND WE STILL ASK ,,,WHY ? ?   I STILL ASK MYSELF, WHY ?,,THANX DON, HIS FAMILY,, AND ALL THE MEMBERS OF THE GREATEST TRACK EVER,
11/16/07 Mike Stevens I can still see the modifieds flying down the back stretch, watching them from the pits. They would be right up against the wall, drag rubberstanding up, hard into the turn, 180 degrees and back at it. Windsor was really a great track. The Mike Grbac fan club outside on the road in. What a great place.
