feature win, and his first modified feature win driving for someone else!
What is also very interesting is that this particular car, although dark
blue and renumbered to #99, is actually the Kenny Weld built car that Kenny
drove himself in 1975. Billy has said that this car, painted the way it was when Kenny Weld drove it was one of Billy's all time favorites, and is why he painted his Gremlin bodied sportsman racer the way he did.   If you check out that car, you'll see that the colors, and the way the # plate is painted on the car is a lot like the Weld #91, that the blue #99 that Billy is standing next to in victory lane above, once was! |
