Comments: Comment:  Kenny Weld on the gas in the "mostly" lighter blue colored Weikert's Livestock #29.  I say mostly lighter blue because it looks like the front roof support is darker which might indicate that he had two differently bodies for this car... Or.. was there possibly 2 complete Weikert's Livestock #29's (one being a little lighter blue than the other???)  I have no idea, but hopefully those that worked with these cars and who were at Reading back for the 1974 season can tell us if they ever saw two Weikert Livestock #29's at the same time (painted very similarly, with one being a little lighter blue than the other.)

10.15.16 Debi Weld If I remember correctly, Dad had 2 modifieds in the beginning. Dad named some of his race cars & he called his "heavies" Bertha & Betty, the butt sisters (it's from a song).
10.15.16 3Wide I remember that song!  It was called "Troglodyte" from back in the early 70's, and it mentioned "Bertha."  You know, now that you mention it, for their time, the Weld modifieds did have big "butts" compared to the other cars of the same time period.  So many were making bodies smaller and smaller, and the Weld modified had the widest bodies at that time, and with that, very wide backs.
