Comment from Chad: The photo was given to me by Harold
Bunting, There are no photo credits on it so I am not sure of the original
photographer. I own the photo and I believe it looks like Bridgeport.
Harold Bunting is driving the car I think around 1977. Here is what I know of the Weld car. This comes from Harold Bunting and Dutch Warrington son. Dutch Warrington bought the Weld car as a roller from Kenny new. It was brought to Delaware and a body and engine were added to finish the car.
The first year the car ran it was white with a red #91 and driven by Harold Bunting. The car was then purchased by Steve Dale and was numbered #19. The first year the car was red, the next year blue, and the next year black.
Dutch Warrington then bought the car back and it was run as the #91 again.
After many years of sitting the car was purchased by Harry Dutton and was run as the #188 and #888. The suspension and cage were changed by Walt Breeding at this time. (This is not the offset car the Walt Breeding drove.)
Eddie Pettyjohn, Gary Trice, Greg Coverdale, Robert Dutton, Melvin Joseph Jr and Bobby Wilkins all drove the car at one point. It is restored today as it raced in 1984 by Bobby Wilkins.
