06.13.12 CHIP Yep,This is Middletown,thats the 3rd turn 1974 Eastern States 200 Kenny lead up to lap 170 and blew the motor..Bobby Bottcher ended up winning..

06.14.12 R Bowman Definitely Middletown (Orange County Fair Speedway) Looking at the drive in viewing and the turn 3 pit entry. The square lamp above the gate is the positive ID. They are all over the fairground, apparently reused from the 1964 World's Fair.

I remember when the engine blew.  The car was engulfed in flames for a few seconds and most of the crowd screamed in awe.  My buddies and I were used to that from his cars because we saw him do it at Reading a time or two.  To us, it was normal but to most of the fans around us that day, it was spectacular.  I was told it had something to do with the prime system he used to use.  He was dominant that day until the engine let go…..
