from Rich: I'm a frequent visitor to 3 Wide and love the site. I recently
painted a Gremlin bodied modified that I thought you would like to see. In NC and VA we have the Virginia Old Timers Racing Club which has a nostalgic series, in which modern NASCAR modifieds are fitted with old tin such as coupes, sedans, etc. Then they turn them loose with real wheel to wheel racing! Cool stuff. The #14, owned by Larry Glessner, is based on a contemporary Troyer asphalt chassis. It's painted Richie Evans orange and pearl white. Here's an image of the car before we shook it down at Caraway (NC) Speedway this past Thursday. The first race for this car will be at the Concord Motorsports Park for the North-South Shootout in November. |

10/07/06 | John Armbruster | Will this car be racing around NC next year? This would be awesome at Bowman-Gray. |
10/09/06 | Kevin Mc | I always thought the Gremlin was an awful body for apshalt modifieds.
Theres always an exception of course. Nice piece |
