Comments: | According to the sign that was posted next to this beautiful car, this was built by Frank Drogan who has other cars featured in this section including the #937 & the #11. The original car was driven by Bill Chevalier who was known as "The Flying Frenchman". Bill was the 1952 Modified Champion at Wall Stadium and also finished 5th in Nascar Modified National points that same year. |

Like many returning combat veterans of World War ll life as a civilian was an adjustment with boredom During World War ll Bill was a combat Fighter Pilot. He flew a Lockheed P-38 an aircraft the German Luftwaffe pilots called "The Fork-Tailed Devil." Chevlier was also a very good Bowler. |
