Dick "Pickles" Clark was from Munnsville NY, and was a consistent top 10 runner at both Fulton, when it was asphalt, and later Shangri-La. He was a super guy with a great sense of humor; he was known to bring a jar of red-hot pickles to the track and offer them to unsuspecting people after the races. He retired in the late 1980s and passed away several years ago. His cars were built by Dutch Hedger, brother of retired NASCAR modified tour veteran Randy Hedger. Dutch still builds cars, and is a master fabricator. |
