"SuperMODELS"

Here's a few from Vintage Racer Rob Jensen

*Note from Robert Jensen:   Enjoy the Mods, I believe I showed you the 292 in high school (1976). Notice "AL" in the front bumper.  The 00 won best in show at the EBPD model car contest in 1975. It didn't look as good as it does now after the "restoration" still in progress.  I made the 77 in I believe 1973 for my dad after Jackie Evans was killed at Reading. It needs some TLC.  I made the 2 (Bob Seidel) for the Reading model car contest in mid 70's. (paint faded just like the real ones).  With exception to the 00 I haven't seen these in years, packed away in shoe boxes for 3 decades. Holly crap! must be getting old.

Feel free to share with your readers!  Keep up the good work.

Note from 3-Wide:  Robert and I went to High School together.  (Who can forget Miss Papick (9th grade homeroom Biology Class...)  Not too bad on the eyes, but then again, what is for a 14 year old!

Anyway, when Robert and I weren't busy checking out Miss Papick, we could usually be found sketching pictures off the days Modifieds (1975) to be precise. (That's why the reference above to Robert having showed me the Al Michalchuk #292 Gremlin in school.  Notice how Robert even put Al's name in the front bumper just like the real deal!)

Funny thing is that Robert and I lost touch and then a few years back I bumped into him at the Outlaw Show at New Egypt.  He and his brother Alen have the great #44 C&B Engineering Pinto Vintage Car.  I understand that Alen also has the Chubby Hower #22 and maybe even the URC Sprint car that was driven by Dan Curnow and Billy Osmun on occasion.
