Comments: Comment from Bob:  Back in the day if you wanted a T-Shirt with a modified on it you had to go to Reading.  Looks like someone is getting a new Al Tasnady "Cozze Coach"
sweatshirt.

We got white and black coupes with a number one on it.  I never knew his name, but he was great.  He could free hand any style body with that airbrush. That's another piece of local short track racing that has disappeared over time.

My father Carl took this photo at Reading in 1969.

02/04/07 Gregory Saeger There was a man and wife team in a trailer at Big Diamond in the 80's that did shirts, just above the 4th turn near the men's room.  Don't remember his name, but he was good, and kind of has the same looks like this guy.
08/16/07 Carl Snyder His name is Steve Hughes, (I think he went by the nick name, Merg).    I
worked for him at the Reading Fairgrounds from about 1968-1971.  We did work at Grandview on sat. nights for about 2 years .  He painted with an airbrush sweatshirts, mountain dew hats and seat cushions.  He helped put himself through college doing this and went to Philadelphia Pharmaceutical and Science College in Phila. PA. and was a pharmacist for a while.   Last I heard he now lives in Fla. and is a Pharmaciatical Salesman.   He had other people working before and after me, but I think he painted at the Reading Fairgrounds from about 1966 -1972.  He was very talented and did everything free hand (back in the day before silkscreening )
03/05/08 Tony I remember another guy in the mid to late 70's, doing air brush. The guy was awesome. And don't forget Sammy Green keeping the toilets clean. Boy, those were some great memories.

Tony 72 -79 Reading Pa Fairgrounds Had many a good time there sitting in the 4th turn.
