|05/10/03||Bob G||I remember this race well- It was not "an official" outlaw race and allot of guys didn't show. Sammy was blistering around the square, and Doug Wolfgang scared everyone when he hit between 1 and 2 destroying the Gambler house car. Bob G|

The field consisted of Sammy & Wolfgang from the WoO, Steve Siegel and a couple of mid packers from Central Pa., and some URC cars. It was no contest.|

I remember seeing Sammy's big red hauler coming North on Rt. 31, then trying to make the fairly sharp turn into the front gate. It took a bit of jockeying. Just another memory from the great days at Flemington.|
|01.18.10||George Gwynn|| I was there that night too. Sammy
clearly demonstrated how wickedly fast the "Square" really was. Even for a
'seasoned' fan, he was scary fast. Sammy made mincemeat out of the
field at Bridgeport, as well, on a couple of occasions. Incredibly quick on
the big oval.
He continues to be a 'flat-out' racer today well into his 50's.
