Comment for above photo:  One of my top 5 sportsman cars of all time.  I don't ever remember seeing this car at East Windsor, but I sure do remember noticing in the early 70's at Flemington.  I think you guys offered up that it was a former Kenny Brightbill car.  Cool body... cool stance... great colors and lettering...  It was a great time to be a fan of dirt track racing!

When Billy changed the body to a Gremlin a few years later was also a awesome looking Sportsman car for that era.

I believe this hot rod (with the sedan body) was sold by Kenny Brightbill to Bob Toreky, which became his # 14.  It then went to Billy Matthews.

It sure was the same car. I was fortunate to grow up in Bound Brook near Billy and was friends through me being neighbors to Billy’s aunt. My rookie engine was bought from Billy in 1980. When I  was a kid I would ride my bicycle over to his garage behind his Mom’s house and watch him work on his car and took Polaroids during that time while he was building his Ray Liss chassis car.
