Comments: Comment:  Mark Galbraith in victory lane in car "ride share" car between Mark, George Yawger and John McCaughey.  This was one fast Late Model.  I think that is Lindy Vicari in the background so those of you with good East Windsor knowledge should be able to help us date this photo.  (Thanks!)

01.10.16 John McCaughey

Pretty sure this was taken in early May, 1980. We won the opener @ EWS that year (George driving) on a Sunday, then Mark drove the following Fri night, I think he finished 2nd but not positive. The next night at Flemington, George won the opener there but we got DQ’ed for being light. I think Jim Wollman got credit for the win. The following Sat I crashed hard in warmups with Janiszewski, Clyde Cox and a few others, tearing the car all to pieces. After a trip to Harry Fleming’s for a front clip (Thx Harry, who else would let you cut the front frame and suspension from a SS454 Chevelle and not charge you for it?), we missed a week of racing. The following Fri night we were back @ EWS and this was the result.

Between us and Bob Travagline, this car probably won between 50 & 60 races in 4 years. It won at EWS, Flemington and Middletown and was a really good car.
