Comments: | Comment from Fred: This was my first car - first time loading the truck *ramps kicked out - we made it work….. We had a loading hill across from our driveway on Jacques Lane that was used for loading farm equipment on wagons. East Windsor had a dirt loading ramp between the road and the pit entrance and Flemington had one behind turn two. (My neighbor Betty Atkinson took these photos.) |

02.19.17 | 3-Wide | Fred - thank you for providing these great photos, and I'm glad that your neighbor was there to capture the moment on film. The loading technique might have changed over the years, but who would have ever thought that loading a racecar onto the truck/trailer, on a Friday... Saturday... or Sunday (or all three), each week... is something that you would do for the next 40 years or so!.. I can't say that I remember the car pictures above, but my dad and I were always glad to see the #303 pulling out of the pits for warm ups every Friday and Sunday at East Windsor throughout the decades, and at Flemington too, as were the many other loyal "Fred Dmuchowski Fans." |
