No   one   in   Chautauqua  County   racing    has   been   able   to   remember   ever   hearing   about   this   car.  Reed   did  not   drive   this   according   to   race  results    may   have   wrecked   not   qual   blew   up.   County   sports   hall   of   fame    would   like   to   ID   the    owner   of   car    or   figure  out   sponsorship.  any   help   would   be   appreciated.

I    think   owner   might   have   been  Ken   Whitney   from   Panama,   NY     He   was   good   friends   w/Lee  Petty.  Julian   Buesink   was  the   noted  car   owner  from   county   at   that   time

Moore,   Rexford,   Hartley   Duell   drivers   at   that    time.

Ultimate racing   history     lst   1955  race    #65   driver   as   bill   blair    not    rex   reed.

Car finished 44th, started  45th

From  reading some stuff about Reed, I think he got Chevy contract and was not allowed to run the Ford

He got 3 cars from Chevy for '55 (one for   west  coast)   He  flew out there to race.

2  for   east  - one  for   short   track   that he was champ of and one for big tracks like Darlington.    He  did not   run  the  beach  that   I   can  see

Thanks for trying but this is the best I can do
