Comments: Comment:  Don told me that back in the 60's, they would start the sportsman cars up front (smaller engines) in the modified feature.  The idea was that as the laps wore on, the faster modifieds would come through from the back of the back, but from what I heard, there were many nights where Don, driving the Norcia #81, got out front and hid!  Maybe one of the Wall Stadium guys can tell us how many features he won driving this little coupe up against the modifieds.

12.26.14 Scott Ely What you heard about Wall back “in the day” is true.  I can remember being there in the early and mid 60s and the sportsmen (small blocks with a carb) started up front in the feature.  There was many a night when Stives in the Norcia  289 Ford powered coupe and Parker Bohn in Skinner’s #659 GMC powered coupe would beat the modifieds of Dave Hulse, Tommie Elliot, Joe Kelly, Wally Dallenbach, and Pete Frazee.
