Beautiful shots from Nazareth National. These must be from the earlier years of the big track, since the rust marks on the wall are real short. That was always one way to identify the big track. The rust marks ran down the walls from the light and fence posts. The rust is rather short in this shot, making the track rather new, so maybe these are from ’67 or ’68. It was built in 1966. |

I read in the book “Steady Eddy” about Ed Flemke that Rene painted the roof black on some of his cars because he believed that the officials at Fonda wouldn’t catch him jumping restarts. I wonder how it worked out. |
