Comments: Comment:  Perk Brown #45 at Trenton.  I remember a few different drivers behind the wheel of the black #45 through the years including a Gremlin version with Satch Worley behind the wheel.

Awesome picture as well as the other southern modifieds in this Trenton section. We don't see many pictures of the Mason cars and I don't believe I've ever seen this one from the passenger side. William Mason always had low budget, tired iron, but it was fast. This car was actually a beautiful car when built. Supposedly they cut two 55 Chevy frames in two and welded the two rear sections together and used the kick ups  to get the car to sit low.

Bobby Allison drove this coupe almost as much as Perk Brown did. Perk had problems with kidney stones and Bobby was the backup driver. According to the guys around here that knew them, Perk was a better driver.
