"The Vault" can only exist with the contribution of photos from those who captured the thrilling cars and drivers of the past on film and are willing to share the memories with other fans of the greatest days of racing! Whether you spent years on the inside looking out as a speedway photographer, or you were a fan behind the fence with a Kodak 110 Instamatic, we'd love to see your stuff!
Email us so we can make arrangements to see that your pictures & memories can be shared with others.
If you are able to scan and email pictures, here's some info:
PLEASE SEND ONLY 1 PHOTO PER EMAIL (It helps us keep the correct info with the correct photo!)
Identify the Photo in the "SUBJECT LINE": (example: Grbac Photo... , or 1966 Langhorne Speedway Photo, or Photo of #66 Model)
In the text of the email, state that if YOU ARE THE ACTUAL PHOTOGRAPHER, or that YOU OWN THE ORIGINAL PHOTO that was purchased at the speedway or from the original purchaser of the photo. WE WILL NEVER INTENTIONALLY POST A PHOTO THAT APPEARS ON ANOTHER WEBSITE, OR WHERE THE ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPHER DOES NOT WISH TO HAVE THEIR WORK DISPLAYED ON A WEBSITE BY HAVING YOU PROVIDE THE REQUESTED INFORMATION,WE WILL BE ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH OUR GOAL.
Include the following with all photos:
PHOTOGRAPHER'S NAME
DRIVER'S NAME
DATE OF PHOTO (APPROX YEAR)
LOCATION
A BRIEF COMMENT THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO APPEAR WITH THE PHOTOGRAPH
*Note: File size being sent to us should be 100k or higher so that we can open, embed photographer's name, provider's name and our site info, and then re-save at a quality level that will still allow us to post the photo at at least 5 X 7 at 72 dpi.
WE CAN NOT POST PHOTOS THAT DO NOT INCLUDE THE REQUESTED INFORMATION OR THAT ARE SENT WITHOUT COMMENTS.
We are very appreciative of the efforts each of you make to provide us with original photos and comments that make the Vault a special place for over a 1000 visitor's per day. By providing the requested information with each photo (1 at a time) as outlined above, we will be able to post more photos more often!
