New Egypt Speedway "Off Track" Photos
July 19th 2008

Christmas in July at New Egypt means lots of toys for the Toy's for Tot's program thanks to Advantage Financial & Mortgage Co.

Speaking of "nice", thanks again to Gene Stravinski for another successful "Christmas in July" at New Egypt

New shoes for Bobby Drayton's team.  Ironically, Bob had a tire let go with 3 laps left while leading the modified feature, taking away a sure win.  While disappointed, Bob should know that you could hear the collective moans from the grandstands as he pulled out of line with the flat...  Already very popular, Bob made even more fans last night.

Big crowd on hand on this very warm July night

Marty V had his beautifully restored Gil Hearne #12 on display next to the Vault, while Bubba was cooking ribs and stuff in the background!  Thanks Marty, and thanks Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club (GSVSCC) for providing the car.

As the sun starts to set, the action begins to rise...

The car may say #2, but when it comes to SS Sprints at New Egypt, Art Liedl is #1..  Great feature guys.

A huge crowd greets Kenny Hammond in victory lane following the Super Stock Feature

Kenny gets a call while in victory lane.  The win would later be taken away (temporarily) after a post race inspection, and then re-instated days later after it was found that the car was legal!  Congratulations to Kenny Hammond.

A new generation of Pauch fans!
