Tim McCreedie draws for his starting spot

Jeff Crambo and co-pilot are all smiles after winning his heat race

Big Block Laubach...  The always fast Rick Laubach will be making less visits to NES in 2012, but when he's there, you'll know it.

Right out of the gate, Jimmy's been giving the Dieter Schmidt/Lincoln Auto Body #5 a heck of a ride.

Big Artie and crew work the tires on Gary Butler's Mod ride.

... always do what dad says...

DJ Ruppert thinks things over...

Mike Iles and the "Grasshopper Green" SpeedZone Slotcar Raceway & Hobbies/Active Environmental Technologies #711

... does that mean free coffee for Ron Jon?  GOOD DEAL!

New rub rail for Billy Pauch Jr.

...down the
hill we find Luke Schostkewitz #57, Mike and Clay Butler and Doug Manmiller in the #14

Super Fast...  Jimmy Phelps was flying at Sellinsgrove last week and quickly found the fast lane around New Egypt as well.

Speaking of fast, I didn't get this driver's name but he won his RoC Sportsman heat the first time out on the track.

Over/Under...

Good sport Ryan Watt (r) ran over to help out fellow competitor Danny Hieber as Danny pulled in from the consi with a locked front caliper.

Duane Howard climbs out of the Blue Bell Air sponsored #4

New snack food?  Nah... it's top running sportsman driver Mike Butler (grandson of Oliver Butler) gettin' ready to check the fuel level on the #4M.  Speaking of Oliver:

Here's a great shot of Oliver Butler in the Fred Menschner owned #21 coupe alongside Stan Ploski in this 1973 East Windsor Speedway photo by Ace Lane Jr.

...always looking to make one more adjustment....

New team for 2012 finds the versatile Neal "The Wheel" Williams driving the Vahlsing Equipment/EME #323

Billy Jr's team puts the final touches on the right side repair on the Atlas Paving #66

Sportsman driver Randy Green's #69 had a familiar look to it...

Bob Green, Rich Eurich and Gary Balough battle it out at Middletown in the 70's in this Paul Irving photo

...turns out that Randy is the grandson of Middletown racer Bob Green who drove the #69 as seen above in this Paul Irving photo from the mid 70's.

Mike McAleer heads out for his consi

Wade Hendrickson and crew talk things over.

Billy Pauch Sr & Jr and Neal Williams watch a modified consi from the pit stand

John McClelland tried a bold move on the last lap of the consi for the last qualified spot over invader Jackie Brown #6x.  Check your speaker volume and then click below to see how it turned out...

(above in car video provided by Rob Cerini - Thanks Rob)

Speaking of Jackie Brown in the #6X, Mike McAleer (red #6) didn't appreciate "the help" getting through turn 3 while running second from the Jackie's #6X a few laps earlier...

Mike McAleer's
#6 after the consi...

Folks of all ages check out "The Vault" during intermission

Thank you to Ace Lane Jr for displaying his photos, Dom Ragno for the #87 door, and to all who provided programs and stuff for us to let folks enjoy.
Also, the new black and white floor covering material from our friends at The Flemington Department Store brightens up the tables a bit... (THANKS GUYS!)

Thanks also to Snyder Video for their "70's Highlight" DVD  "now playing" on the big screen, and to Goop for displaying some great Flemington stuff in the glass case on the right.

In 45+ years of going to races, I have a tremendous appreciation for smart racers... and Stewart Freisen is one of the smartest... Always diggin.. always looking for a little more... every lap.
Stewart caught Tim McCreedie on about lap 57 of the 60 lap main event as the two came up on lapped traffic and made his move, and went on for the win.

That's John Aumuck's #38 Crate Sportsman... after winning the RoC Sportsman main!

John Aumuck (with Mountain Dew in hand) didn't think his Crate car had a chance against the more powerful sportsman.  He bought a new  tire prior to the feature but decided that there was no sense putting it on the car since he'd probably just end up burning it up running around the back of the pack!  John ended up with the win...  a good payday, and he's still got his new tire for next time!  Congratulations John.
