Open Wheel Racing in NJ is alive and well!  The TriState RaceSaver 305 Sprint Series made its first appearance of the season... What a great debut!

Jeff Geiges reads the tire after warm up action... Later in the night, Jeff would bring the #175 home in 5th place in the feature event.

Allentown High School Student Stef Palmai was very impressive in her first run in a full size Sprint, finishing 9th in the feature in Tony P's #67K.

The Sprints really put on a great show, with many fans saying it was their favorite event of the night...

Open wheel ace Andrew Hannula had his "Wingless" midget on hand for hot laps.

Some new faces in the pits... with possibly more to follow.... Here's Brian Cranmer in the "Ling Trucking" and "County Line Auto Body" #66 Modified.

Racer X's (aka Dan Mazy) drives this cool looking Crate Sportsman

Big Ron representin' with SJDR on the nose, and 3 Wide on the hood scoop of the "I Can't Drive Fifty Five" Crate Sportsman.

Scott Hyland has a new look for 2010

Good Lookin'

One of the smoothest driver's and I hear one heck of a fabricator, John Micek does a little tweaking on his #21A Crate Sportsman in between events....

.Lots of hard work going on in the Papiez pit with the team rebuilding the entire left front after heat race action.  Bryan rebounded with a strong 8th place feature finish.

... and things were a little less stressful over at Team Drayton.... I'm not sure, but I think they're actually texting each other  .  Vault Favorite Bob Drayton in the "Mr. Bob Special" would bring the #09 home in the top 5!

...a blanket over the engine at Team 1 Racing is either keeping the heat in the engine, or keeping the curious out!

The modified heat races are intense at NES, and John Miloszar rises to the occasion week after week.  John won Modified Heat #1

Willie Osmun was flying in the #14, taking the win in Modified Heat #2

Gary Butler returned to his top form, winning the 3rd heat and leading the feature prior to pulling in with a flat.

The Fastrack Late Models head out for action...

Dave Damiano took the win in the Rookie Feature.  Congratulations on your 1st win Dave!

Steve Davis brings the #13 Fastrack Late Model into Victory Lane

Steve gives this young fan the best seat in the house after winning the first of two feature events for the Late Models.

Another winning car in victory lane with "Hamill Flooring" and "CRG Truck Repair going along for the ride on the side...

Chuck Palmucci used a "one to go restart" to pull off a last lap pass that had the crowd on their feet.... Congratulations Chuck

Chuck and his father in victory lane.  With the success Chuck has had in Micro Sprints, and now having picked up victories at both Bridgeport and NES in full size sprinters... , let's just say that Chuck is a driver to watch in 2010 and beyond.

Billy climbs out of the K&A (as in Kickin' Azz) Team #1 Racing Modified...  (I didn't make that up... gotta give credit to one of the crew guys for that one...)

A few from behind the scenes as Track Announcer Nick Leach interviews BIlly following the early season win in what I think is Billy's 35th year or racing... and WINNING!

...and throughout many of those wins, Nick Lombardi (plaid shirt on right) has been right there... in the pits with Billy and in Victory Lane...

With sponsorship from K&A Excavating (that's Kevin Bifulco on the left), Billy looks to have another great year in 2010 at New Egypt Speedway.

...and he's developed a very loyal following in the process...

Billy has a laugh with columnist Joe "Rappin' on Racing" Connelly.   Joe is an absolute walking encyclopedia when it comes to 70's & 80's dirt track racing....

Pat Hires originally wasn't planning on racing until a last minute change in plans....  I think he's glad he decided to fuel the #25 up and take it for a spin!

Here's Pat in Victory Lane with representatives of event Sponsor "Infante's Sod Farm" (Allentown, NJ) after winning the Crate Sportsman Feature event.

Steve Davis after winning the 2nd Feature of the night.  Steve is joined by the Romano Family and remembered his good friend John in victory lane.
