07/27/07 HS10Pin WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE OLD COUPES AND COACHES AGAIN. REAL RACING YOU CAN IDENIFY WITH. STARTED GOING TO RACES IN 1950 AT HINCLIFE STADIUM IN PATERSON N.J. HAVE BEEN TO 40 TRACKS OR SO. FLEMINGTON, ORANGCOUNTY, NASRETH BIG AND SMALL. EAST WINSDOR, LEBANON VALLEY, FONDA, OLD BRIDGE, ALCON, JUST TO NAME A FEW. MY NAME IS HERB. EMAIL IS HS10PINAOL.COM MORE TRACKS SHOULD DO IT, I THINK YOU WOULD SEE MORE PEOPLE AT THE RACES. TODAY EVERY CAR LOOKS THE SAME, CANT TELL ONE FROM ANOTHER.
07/28/07 Jim Murrow Herb, I'm trying. I know that 3 wide agrees with us as well.

I talked to one of the promoters up in New England who runs them, and we discussed bringing some of them down here for a demo race, and if that goes over well, I hope to be able to get that division started here, and then fill in between here and there. Then we could have a season ending big race for all of them, etc.

All the tracks already have Sportsman divisions now. All they would have to do is change the body and the rear springs, and that's it. Besides the fun of seeing the different bodies they come up with, the fans would know right away if it's a Modified or Sportsman. Bridgeport, for example, has Big Block modifieds, sportsman, and crate one and crate 2 sportsman, and they're all the same. Frankly, it's pretty boring. For 5 or 6 hours you watch cars that all look exactly the same race. Lets get some of the fun back in racing!
