02/24/05 | Don W | If my memory serves me correctly, I believe the photos from Wall were taken by Travers Cambra in the 80's and Stan Reed in the 70's. |
02/24/05 | 3-Wide | If anyone knows for sure, please let me know specifically so that we can give proper photographer credit. Thanks - |
02/26/05 | Kevin Newman | Pretty sure that # 66 is Tommie Elliott at New Egypt - Owner Ken Cranmer Sr... |

03/02/05 | Warren | The first shot of Jerry Cook in victory lane after picking up a heat win at New Egypt Speedway. The Starter was Bobby Lee from Long Island, NY and if you look at the gate behind that behind Bobby, you see a youngman with a Checkered flag, that would be me. Great pics Joe, and keep up the good work in keeping our history alive. |
03/02/05 | 3-Wide | Many will remember the days of Warren as a kid shadowing the starter's every move with his own set of flags in front of the grandstands. Congratulations Warren on being announced as the starter for Bridgeport. |
03/03/05 | Jerry H | Isn't the guy in the background of the Jamie Tomaino picture Ray Everham in the Bauma #61? |
03/07/05 | Don Worth | (regarding Jerry H's question above): Yes, that is the Bauma Farms #61 driven by Ray Evernham. The silver modern stock behind Jamie's is his brother Gregs #99. |
07/18/06 | Barry Hulse | (regarding the picture in the 6th row of the #99 next to Richie Evans'
#61) You've heard me refer to the Saturday Billy Taylor put the first ugly Cavalier body on the 99 of Geoff Bodine at Martinsville that NASCAR made them take back off and put the Pinto body back on for the Sunday race because the Cavalier was a new production car dated the following year and NASCAR rules only accepted bodies up to that year. Well, that car is in the photo featuring Richie Evans above. I was there that day and remember looking at that car and said it was the ugliest thing I had ever seen. Little was I to know that in the following couple of years, all the Mods would be BUTT UGLY!!!!! You tell me that the 99 looked better than the 61 Pinto of Evans! LOL |
07/18/06 | 3Wide | I'll take the Pinto! |
12/21/06 | Mrnconway8 | Bodine ran the cavalier that year NASCAR made them change the roof because
of some modifacations they made to it.Best I can remember the roof came the next day and
fit perfect. I have the pictures somewhere I'll see if I can find them. I think Tony Hirshman is in the x9 behind French He drove for Howard one year on the tour and ran a few at Wall. |
11.05.10 | Austin McCurdy | There's my dad in the 00 pinto. I now race 00 on my go-kart. |
