08/09/05 | Rich | Joe, I was looking though some old papers, and came across this picture.. Wow - The drivers were taking up a collection for Nat Kleinfield, which was a former track announcer at Flemington that was very ill. Here is the Wow part - this photo was taking on Aug 15, 1970, it is in the Aug 19th paper. Aug 15th was the night Joe Kelly had his accident at Flemington. Who would know, looking at Joe smiling in the picture, that in less then a couple of hours, his life, and racing would change! |
08/28/05 | Jeff Kuhl | I believe the second from the left standing is Bob Garboski from Three
Bridges NJ who was a novice champ at Flemington in the 60's. He ran a car from Jennings
Ford of Flemington. Unfortunately Bob passed away about 2 years ago from a battle with
Cancer. He was a great guy. Jeff Kuhl |
01/18/06 | Garry Boekhout | The picture second from the left on the bottom row is me. At the
time of that picture I was running the number 33. I am glad my nephew told me about this site. Garry |
