02.03.12 | Jim Read | I remember more the car more than Tony Driving it. The car
was owned by Walt Tait of National Park, NJ. He had a few of the Yellow 07's
the first I knew was a coupe on a 57 Chevy frame. This was his first attempt
at a "manufactured" car. Walt's son had a few cars with the last I remember being a 07 URC sprint car. Walt was one of the unsung 'racers' who made racing really great. He would always talk to anyone even a snotty noised kid who came into the shop at the worst time and asked lots of questions. I never saw his car win. But it ran well even though it was really a shoe string budget operation. I remember the Taylor twins giving his cars some good rides. I also remember it flipping out of the track at Bridgeport in the third turn. |
