I believe the owner of this hot rod was Woody Johnson out of Birdsboro, Pa.  The 68 was a top runner with Pete Frazee, then Hulse, at the wheel at Wall Stadium.  I also recall that Woody switched from Wall to Reading at some point in the late 60s.  A little closer to home may have been a factor.

I was there that night. Dave caught the fence coming off of turn two and the car shot into the air like a wheelie and then barrel rolled down the backstretch and he landed on the infield by the third turn. Wicked wreck! Note the square tubing cage that collapsed during the wreck.  

This wreck was the same night that Sandy Riddle went over the first turn fence into the woods.
