I believe the owner of this hot rod was Woody Johnson out of Birdsboro, Pa. The 68 was a top runner with Pete Frazee, then Hulse, at the wheel at Wall Stadium. I also recall that Woody switched from Wall to Reading at some point in the late 60s. A little closer to home may have been a factor. |

I was there that night. Dave caught the fence coming
off of turn two and the car shot into the air like a wheelie and then barrel
rolled down the backstretch and he landed on the infield by the third turn.
Wicked wreck! Note the square tubing cage that collapsed during the wreck.
