Comments: Comment from Wayne:  Dennis Frey was a regular for quite a few years at Dorney, and won three features in 1981-82.  He was better known as "Fluff" because of his curly blonde hair.  And a heck of a decent guy he was, too.

02/26/06 Peter Howell, ATC Does anyone remember the Frey-Rabenold brawl in May, 1981? They hooked up the week before, and it got ugly the next week. I was there at the exit of 4 going to the straight. Great place for racing. "Bullring" or not, in high school my Dad (prof at Lehigh Univ) and I would go to DP, Nazareth, Flemington, Pocono, and Grandview. In college I went to El Cajon, Saugus, San Bernadino and Riverside International. (ya - I moved around a bit!!!!)
04/19/06 Warren Urffer I have no memory of this, and would love to hear from other Dorney fans!
They were both such decent guys! I guess competition does crazy things to people!
05/24/07 Allan & Angie Just wanted to comment on your photo of Dennis Frey from Dorney Park... Just to let you know he is my dad and I was at all the Dorney races... Marvin Bartholomew is my grandfather if you remember him. :)
1/11/09 Henry Schaadt The biggest brawl I saw was when one of the Markovic brothers put Russ France into the fence. When Russ whent to Markovics car to complain, Markovic sprayed him in the face with a fire extingisher at full blast. Markovic was lucky to get out of there alive as people were spitting on him as he left and rightly so.

We always sat in the third turn area so we had the best view of the track. I remember the deer well! They knew when the race fans were there and the came up for the French Fries the fans would always toss down for them. :):)

Henry Schaadt remember the Miller Bros hobby cars???c1961 those huge 1948 Chrysler 4 door sedans named Fat Boy and Fat Boy JR. I think they were numbered 0 and 00. They were tan colored with brown fenders.. they were so big nothing could get around them.
