from Tom: The "Wild Thing" was the first car at Dorney to run
the radiator in the rear. The main reason this was done was to improve Peepers' view of the front tires. This made negotiating the tight traffic at Dorney quite a bit easier. A huge air dam was created on the passenger's side to provide adequate ventilation. |

04/07/06 | Wayne Urffer | Peepers was known for having really...um, "unusual" equipment, I guess you could say. He ran a coupe back in about 1975 that had the back end of the body cut off right behind the rear window. It always reminded me of how, in a cartoon, when a car gets rear-ended, it crumples up like an accordion. |
