| Comments: | Comments provided by Wayne: Schmeltzle struggled for several years at Dorney Park before putting it all together to win the Late Model championship in 1982 (not in this car). Schmeltzle's mechanic, Tim Kohuth, was a classmate of mine at Emmaus High School and Lehigh County Vo-Tech School. Tim went on to work in NASCAR with Kenny Schrader, Mike Wallace and Scott Riggs, was General Manager of Ultra Motorsports, and in 2004 signed on as Crew Chief for Joel Kauffman in the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series. |

| 07/18/04 | Warren Urffer | I remembered soemthing about this photo when I was looking at it the other day: That's Jeff Schmeltzle behind the car in the brown t-shirt and white cap. Tim Kohuth is in the driver's seat. Jeff let him take it out during warm-ups early in the afternoon. |
