Walt Endy or is it Walt Emery? I always confuse them.

06.07.13 3Wide I know that Walt Emery drove a good looking blue coupe with white wheels and a white #, but this car doesn't look familiar to me.

Leo McCulough?   This car was built for the 68 or 69 season in Topton PA by Junior Nothstein, Pete Romig, and a guy named Green.  Its a 427 ford.  It was driven at Reading and Nazareth by Herbie Tillman and Jim Kemmerer.  It was sold after the 1970 season.  I notice the engine has been moved front for some reason. You can see the hole at the back of the hood where it used to be.  I wonder if anyone has any earlier pictures of this car or knows where it might still be.

Does it say Newton Body shop on the roof?  If so, and they're still in business, they are right down the road, I could find out.

10.12.13 George M. Donmoyer I am pretty sure this is Lee McCollough that sure looks like his build and his right hand and the year would be about right. My dad Georgie Donmoyer didn`t race in 1971 and helped Lee out.

Some back ground on Lee: Lee was wrestling coach at Northwestern Lehigh High School, Lee also owned Blue Rock Spring Water. Lee moved to Florida later in the 1970`s and started a bottled water company down there.

Newton Auto-Body was in Newside, Pa.

The car was garaged in a converted one-room school-house in Schweitzer, Pa. which had a cow pasture on two sides. Well, one day the herd was over grazing over at the side door that is except for the bull he was too busy staring at the fluorescent red header! Needless to say that side door got closed pretty quick!
I don`t think Lee had a lot of success racing but, I do have some memories of seeing Lee on the track at Nazareth. These LeMasters pix are cool as I think they took pix of everyone, not just the better known drivers!

Sincerily, George M. Donmoyer

Engine was moved forward to meet Nazareth's (promoter Fried's) strict at the time engine set back rule.
