Comments: | Pretty sure this is the first car that Billy competed in. For year's I thought his first car was the little Mustang bodied car that he won the Flemington Rookie Championship in 1975, but this car had to be from just before that. I'm thinking that Billy may have had a few runs in this Falcon bodied car either in late 1974 or early 1975? |

05.23.12 | Robert Hanna | This is Middletown and the entrance to turn 3. That's the drive-in concession stand in the background, with a few fans leaning on some 2x4's they used to put on some barrels as a barrier. I used to love standing down there and watching them come down the backstretch, listening to them back off and get back on it again. At intermission our favorite driver (and my dad) would come out and say hi. Drivers would be out back signing autographs. Those were my "good ole' days". |
05.18.13 | Wayne Heiserman | I saw Billy drive this car in what may have been his first race at Nazareth. He didn't look too good his first few races, but then I saw him race in a rookie race at Flemington. He had the Mustang that night. You could tell that this KId had what it takes that night. |
