Comments: Comment:  Chris Grbac having fun (above) on the asphalt at the 2017 Turkey Derby, during the Dirt Mod Feature.

Chris time trialed very well, and had a solid run going, when a lapped car made contact with the #7 going into turn one resulting in a spin.  He was smooth and fast on what I later found out was his first time on the asphalt in a modified.

So much history in this one photo...  Think about the deep history that the Grbac name has to the sport of short track racing...  Then think about the history of the "Lane" name, with first Ace Lane Sr., and then Ace Lane Jr., and with this image from photographer John John Lane.  Looks like Chris has the old school Ace Lane Photo logo on the bottom of the quarter panel too.

Chris is a dedicated racer in every sense of the word.  Keeps things going with a little help from his friends, and with support under the hood from Bitner Automotive (there's another name that goes back to at least the 70's to the sport of short track racing.)  Chris works on the car throughout the week in a little residential garage... No big $ operation here guys...  Just a lot of determination to be at the track each week.

For those that think that fielding a car today is all about speed shop parts, and paying folks to fix your racecar when it's broken, need to stop by when Chris is out in his garage, just about any weeknight of the year, and hold the droplight for him while he's hammering away on the #7, getting it ready for the next week of competition!
