Comments: | What other sport lets you talk to the participants right after the event? Hey, I like to watch Derek Jeter play baseball, but I doubt if he's hanging out in the dugout for a few hours after the game... Maybe that's another one of the things that caused many of us to come back week after week. We'll just never know how important moments are like this, between a driver and a child, and Billy is one of the greatest on either side of the guardrail. |

10/14/03 | Steve Fegley | Billy was always great with the kids. I remember building a radio controlled #126 sprint car for Billy Jr. I gave it to Billy Sr. after he won a modified race at Penn National. Jr. was only a couple of yrs old. Now he's racing modifieds! Man am I gettin old lol. Just makes me think more about how good Billy Sr. is, getting the job done after all these yrs. |
