3/26/03 Todd L The Kid and the Squirrel - Ned Wagner was always fast but out of control quite a bit too, Billy on the other hand ...
03/26/03 3-Wide Sometimes guys who aren't as well financed have to do whatever it takes!   I used to route for Al Michalchuk who had a reputation as being fast but out of control quite a bit, but what people didn't know is that he almost never ran knew tires (used everyone elses after they were done with them, and always had a much heavier car than the newer, lighter, more expensive store bought models of the day.  A lot of these guys, who had to push it a little harder than most, are the one's that really put on a show!
10/23/04 John Mc You may say a few things about Ned...like underfinanced, inexperienced.....out of control? A squirrel? If anything, he may have been a bit conservative (mainly do to his finances).

Ned got his 1st car from Dave Graham, which was my Dad's last 301. He finished her w/ an over the fence and back in on the 2nd turn @ Flem, knocking out the clock in the Stem Bros billboard! LOL!  His second car was an old Steve Makocy 37, which he did pretty well with, then this car after a short hiatus, which was a Graham 57 (the one Beavers ran @ the Flem 200 & Epright ran @ Syracuse, Rolling Wheels & Fulton.
