Comments: Back when Street Stocks actually looked like something you might see driving down the street rather than on a launch pad, Big Al was beginning to get the job done at East Windsor.  Al is now one of the most successful and most popular drivers in the Street Stocks or Late Models or Pro Stocks or Super Duper Fragilistic Espyaladocius Stocks...

No matter what you call them, Al can drive them!

03/08/03 Todd L What does Al's car have that no other SS LM or SBM doesn't? (Answer: a horn)
03/08/03 3-Wide I was going to guess about 100 extra pounds of inside weight, which if you watch how he runs, others might consider adding!  I got to see Al at an appearance for kids last year at the Washington Township Library (Robbinsville, NJ), and Al did an outstanding job of explaining the sport and some of the equipment needed to race safely.
02/08/06 Cathy Fox The #83 is Larry McVay..
He won the 1995 Bridgeport Speedway Street Stock Championship.
02/08/06 3-Wide I Larry's #83 real well.  It was a great running car, although by the end of the season I can remember a friend and I commenting on how used up it looked... the nose was kind of pushed up... and so was the tail...  Kind of looked like it was bent in the middle!  And you know what, Larry still drove the wheels off of it!
10/26/08  Todd Lewis If I recall correctly Larry Mc Vay bought his 83 from Bill Hart who ran the 47a at EWS after buying the 47a Nova street stock from current NES sportsman racer Alan Bleacher
