This picture of Kevin is
from 1991, the first year of pavement at "The Square". Kevin who came to
Flemington to race on Asphalt because it was less stressful on his back, unless of course
you hit the guardrail at Flemington )just ask Ray Evernham or Billy Pauch) was a real
fierce competitor that year as he posted 5 wins and 18 top five's in 25 starts. His five
victories tied him that year with Doug Hoffman for the most. Recently, Kevin was the car
cheif for Ken Schrader's racing operation and was in charge of all of his racing car's out
of his shop, which included the Craftsman Truck Series, ARCA, Winston West and his DIRT
track efforts as well. I last saw Kevin last year on Speed Channel when Ken Schrader won
an ARCA event at Old Boston Speedway or maybe it was Hickory. Anyhow, he was interviewed
as Kevin Buskirk, and recently just left Schrader racing, so I don't know what he is doing
now. |
