| 01/02/04 | Gary Lileck | I'm pretty sure that this is Duane Howard's 1989 car that he raced on the Pennsylvania Tri-Track circuit. Big Diamond/Penn National/Grandview. Duane was starting to make a name for himself at this time. And of course in 1990 he would win the track c'ship at Penn National for the BRB team. |
| 03/04/04 | J Evans Jr | I may be mistaken but this may be the car Duane Howard drove in '88 before selling the number and the team to Barton "Buddy" Biever (BRB Racing) the following year. I was a team member of BRB's 33jr cars in '86 and '88 and his Colt45 car in '87 with Keith Trumbo driving and at that time we were using Midway Performance engines. The earlier year BRB cars were always sponsored by Sports Warehouse and Young Insurance and I don't see any of these sponsors on this car. The picture is defidently taken on the backstretch of Grandview Raceway with the pit grandstands in the background of the picture. |
| 02/10/05 | BJK | Mr. Evans Jr. - I believe you are correct, people forget that the 114 was originally Duane's # before he ever got hooked up with BRB, after they split, I guess BRB just kept it since it kind of stuck with the team. This is photo is Duane Howard, and I'm almost positive it is pre-BRB, at G-view. |
| 07/12/08 | J Evans Jr | BJK - I don't remember the entire story behind the reason why BRB kept the 114 but it definitely had something to do with the history Buddy's Uncle Dick has with the #14 (Currently driven by Rick Laubach). |
